On December 31, 1961, Dr. W. A. Criswell presented a sermon to his church, First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas. The first sermon of its kind presented by Dr. Criswell, the sermon began at 7:30 PM and continued until 12:00 AM. Dr. Criswell traced the Scarlet Thread (the blood of Christ) from Genesis through Revelation, tracing it through the major events in biblical history.
